§ 19-1. Definitions.

  • For the purposes of this chapter the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them:

    Camping or travel trailers. Any structure which is intended to be mounted on a pickup truck bed, or a vehicular, portable structure built on a chassis, designed to be used as a temporary dwelling, and to be towed behind or attached to a motor vehicle, being either of a gross weight of not more than four thousand five hundred (4,500) pounds, or an overall length of not more than thirty-five (35) feet, or an overall width of not over eight (8) feet. Special recreational vehicles, with a self-contained motor and built and designed to be used for similar purposes as camping or travel trailers, shall also be included in this category. Nothing in this chapter, however, shall be construed to prevent the full normal use of any special recreational vehicle as a motor vehicle.

    Mobile home. Any vehicle or similar portable structure having no foundation other than wheels, jacks, blocks or skirtings, and so designed or constructed as to permit occupancy for dwelling or sleeping purposes, not including camping or travel trailers; provided, however, that for purposes of determining the distances hereafter specified in this chapter, the term "mobile home" shall include any portable prefabricated, temporary room, commonly called "cabana" that is attached to such "mobile home."

    Mobile home lot. A plot of ground within a mobile home park designed for the accommodation of one mobile home.

    Mobile home park. Any plot of ground upon which one or more mobile homes occupied for dwelling or sleeping purposes are located, regardless of whether or not a charge is made for such accommodations.

    Natural or artificial barrier. Any river, railroad, embankment six (6) feet high or over, or screening hedge or fence six (6) feet high or over, of sufficient growth or construction to effectively block vision through it.

    Park. Mobile home park.
