§ 31-38. Identification of vehicles.

Every holder of a license granted under the terms of this article for a taxicab shall have and keep painted in fast colors contrasting with the color of the vehicle on each side of each and every vehicle used by him as a motor cab the words "TAXI LICENSE NO. _____," filling the blank with figures denoting the serial number of his license. The letters and figures shall be not less than three (3) inches in height. He shall also paint the words "CAR NO. _____" in letters of a minimum height of two (2) inches.
