§ 33-33. Deposits required.

  • (a)

    Residential: A deposit of eighty-six dollars ($86.00) is required for regular residential service. A deposit of sixty-four dollars ($64.00) is required for accounts with wastewater and trash collection service. A deposit of forty-two dollars ($42.00) is required for trash collection service only. The billing department may adjust the amount of deposit based on payment history.

    (b)

    Residential new construction: A deposit of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) is required for each new construction residential account.

    (c)

    Apartments, commercial, and industrial: The billing department may require higher amounts; however, deposits are generally based on meter size as follows:

    up to 1" water meter $225.00
    1 ½" water meter $337.00
    2" water meter $562.00
    3" water meter $1,124.00
    4" water meter $2,247.00
    6" water meter $3,371.00
    8" water meter $6,741.00
    10" water meter or larger $11,235.00
    Fire Hydrant meter with RPZ * $2,033.00

     

    * Customers will be responsible for the cost of any damages incurred while meter is in their possession.

    (d)

    No interest shall be paid on deposits. No deposit is required for other government entities. The billing department may waive the deposit for separate irrigation meters.
