§ 5.21. Board of equalization; appointment; qualifications.

Each year the city council shall appoint no fewer than three nor more than five persons who shall be qualified voters and real property owners in the city as the board of equalization. At the same meeting that the city council appoints such board it shall fix the time of the first meeting of the board, which shall be not later than the first day of July. Members of the board while serving shall receive such compensation as may be provided for them by the city council. Nepotism restrictions as described in section 10.03 of this charter shall apply to members of the board of equalization.
