§ 18-11. Miscellaneous regulations.

  • (1)

    All state laws on boats and fishing will be enforced on Lake Waxahachie.

    (2)

    Swimming is at the risk of the person swimming.

    (3)

    Trotlines must be marked with plastic jug only (for floats).

    (4)

    No boats are allowed within fifty (50) feet of markers at swimming area.

    (5)

    In the event a barge or other water conveyance becomes unsafe while on Lake Waxahachie, the owner or person in charge of said conveyance will be notified to repair or remove same from the lake within ten (10) days (or such longer time as may be permitted) from the date of delivery (if in person) or mailing (if mailed) of notice to repair or remove same. If said person does not remove the barge or conveyance, or begin proper repair of same, within the time given in the notice, the city will remove and destroy the barge or conveyance. The owner or person in charge will be liable for the cost of removal of said barge or conveyance.

    (6)

    All devices or apparatus used for off shore fishing must have city permits and shall be subject to state safety rules.

    (7)

    No swimming is allowed within fifty (50) feet of any public boat docking area.

    (8)

    Dealer's permit is the same price as residential permit and is to be used for demonstration and tune up only. Dealer's permit is not to be used for pleasure or fishing purpose. Dealer's permit allows up to two (2) boats on lake at same time.

    (9)

    For local bass fishing club members: Non-residents will, for tournaments only, be issued a daily permit for boat and fishing at same price as local residents. Members wishing to fish in Lake Waxahachie other than in tournaments must obtain a regular fishing and boating permit.

    (10)

    No fishing is allowed off Dam.

No. 1080 as § 18-11 was at the discretion of the editors. Said section overlaps or complements, or perhaps supercedes, other sections or portions of sections in this chapter.
