§ 2-15. Adoption of state law.

The city adopts existing state ethics law and all amendments thereto as the minimum standard of conduct for those city representatives. This shall specifically include but not be limited to V.T.C.A., Local Government Code ch. 171, dealing with conflicts of interest of officers of municipalities, V.T.C.A., Local Government Code ch. 176, dealing with disclosure of certain relationships with local government officers, and V.T.C.A., Government Code ch. 553, dealing with the disclosure by public servant of interest in property to be acquired with public funds. The city explicitly provides for the expansion of the application of this ethics policy to the city representatives enumerated in the application of policy provision above.
