§ 2-17. Distribution of policy.

This ethics policy shall be distributed to all existing and incoming city representatives by the city secretary's office. This is just a general summary of the existing ethics statutes and intended to indicate areas where deeper inquiry may be necessary. Rather, it is not a complete review of all aspects of the underlying statutes. If you have any question about the ethics policy or the applicability of the provisions to your particular situation you should consult with the city attorney's office to address your specific questions. The actual source law referenced in this ethics policy is attached as well as sample forms of any affidavits or disclosures that may be necessary.
