§ 6-17. Impounding of dogs running at large.

It is specifically provided that notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter, if a duly licensed or unlicensed dog is found running at large, the city shall impound the dog. In the event the owner of a dog which is to be returned cannot be found, and custody of the dog taken by the owner, said dog shall be impounded and the usual charges must then be paid by the owner to obtain the release of said dog.
