§ 19-50. Same—Retained ownership.

  • If streets and utilities in a mobile home park are not to be dedicated to the city they must meet the following standards:

    (a)

    All streets must be well drained so that water will neither stand on the streets nor on the adjoining property or lots.

    (b)

    Street paved width must be at least thirty-six (36) feet if the regulations of the mobile home park allow parking for guests on the paved surface of the road (residents are not to be allowed to park on the paved surface of the road) on both sides of the road; twenty-eight (28) feet of paved width will be allowed if regulations of the mobile home park allow parking for guests on the paved surface of the road on one side of the road only (with residents not allowed to park on the paved surface of the road); twenty-two (22) feet of paved width will be allowed if regulations of the mobile home park prohibit parking completely anywhere on the paved surface of the road;

    (c)

    Paving of nondedicated streets shall meet the following standards, by category of surface used:

    (1)

    Rigid paving: Five (5) inches of concrete surface reinforced with No. 3 steel bars on twenty-four (24) inch centers, or reinforced with 6 × 6 × 6 × 6 wire mesh, with expansion joints every forty (40) feet in length down the street, dowelled or sawed joints every twenty (20) feet measured longitudinally. A prepared subgrade compacted to ninety-five (95) percent. Proctor density is to be used under the concrete. All materials and construction used in the above described street is to meet current state highway department standards.

    (2)

    Flexible paving: Four (4) inch compacted thickness base compacted to ninety-five (95) percent Proctor density, with a one and one-half (1½) inch asphaltic concrete Type D surface over the base, all materials and construction to meet current state highway department standards.
