§ 2-2. Extension of services limited.

(a)

The extension of city services, whether proprietary or governmental in nature, to any areas outside of the corporate limits of the city is hereby prohibited; provided, however, that such services provided by express agreement with the city, as authorized by a majority vote of the city council, shall be honored.

(b)

The term "city services," as herein used, shall be deemed to include, but not exclusively, the furnishing of fire protection, police protection, water, sanitary sewer service or garbage pickup.
